When writers get together, anything can happen. One rainy evening in October a group of writers gathered at a local bar to discuss their next venture; their next adventure. They discussed what each writer likes to read and what they have read. They discussed fiction and reality, possibilities and problems over plates of nachos and pitchers of beer.
With any gathering of writers, a stream of one-liners, tangents and fantastical scenarios ensued. A virtual brainstorm of ideas, one after the other, expanded and contracted. In this storm, verbs and adjectives replaced lightning bolts. The idea collected itself and formed a cloud over the writer’s heads until the thunderous clap of magic and form took shape.
The Method Writers was created from this gathering and is being developed by Rogues Gallery Writers. The ultimate question being: how far will a writer go to create a believable character?

[...] So when we got together the end of last year to discuss our new project, our fearless leader, Michael Ray King, envisioned us taking it up a notch and going in a different direction for our follow-up collaboration. This time we were going to do a group novel! All the Rogues were excited and instantly on board. Our next meeting was to brainstorm ideas for the group novel, and you can get an idea of how The Method Writers was collectively born from the inaugural post on The Method Writers‘ blog: http://themethodwriters.wordpress.com/2011/02/08/introductions-are-in-order/.
